Frequently asked questions

Answers to your common questions new members have
What is The Way?
More than just another faith-formation program, The Way is a pilgrimage which will help you answer the fundamental questions of identity and mission: Who am I? and Who am I for? The Way is a journey to becoming the person God created you to be.
What can I expect?
The three pillars of The Way are: teaching, study circles and individual accompaniment. Every two weeks you’ll participate in an interactive workshop on a topic outlined in the formation itinerary, alternating between in-person classes over dinner and online meetings. In between these workshops you’ll reflect on the teaching with your study circle. You’ll also have the chance to meet regularly with a mentor.
How long is The Way?
The Way is not for the faint hearted! The program lasts 2 years. Daunting, we know, but we spend years preparing ourselves professionally, so why not invest this time in yourself and get ready for the rest of your life? The Way is designed to provide a stable and continuous pathway for spiritual formation and growth, focusing on deepening your relationship with Christ and understanding your purpose and vocation, something that already takes years to understand and apply to anyone’s life.
What does it cost?
There is no fixed price for The Way. However, each Wayfarer is asked to make a monthly contribution. For example, some might make a commitment of $50 per month, others $75 per month. Each person will make a commitment during the application process that is both affordable and responsible. We will be discussing the contribution amount personally with each Wayfarer, we want everyone to be able to participate and not let money be the issue preventing them from doing it. We can help each other out. The generosity of some can make The Way possible for others.
I am very interested in The Way, but I’m just not sure…
You are not the only one. In fact, many people have expressed the same hesitation. So we have decided to make the October teaching sessions and weekend retreat open to everyone. Registration will close on November 1st (the solemnity of All Saints). Such a significant commitment requires prayerful discernment. As well as speaking with your friends, you’ll want to bring this to prayer and your spiritual guide. The Way will definitely be like jumping out of the boat. May we all experience what it is to walk on the water towards our Lord who calls out, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”
Can I get a feel of The Way before committing?
Yes, the month of October will be a tryout period for everyone. Everyone is welcome to participate in the talks, study circles and retreat (Oct 11-13th). The application window will end November 1st.
